Designing and building Enterprise and e-Government Portals and Services is a major undertaking. Government agencies in the GCC are working round the clock, and under strict mandates, to make their services available to the public over the Internet.
Because of such challenges and the efforts required addressing them, the design and planning for the user interface and user experience, in some cases, doesn’t receive the importance it deserves.  

Naseej working jointly with IWAN conducted a study on number of e-Government services in terms of their usability, in order to develop up a set of User Interface design guidelines and best practices for the design for government services.
